Flamingo Chicks is an inclusive dance charity that provides children of all abilities, including those with disabilities or life-limiting conditions, the chance to enjoy dance and movement. With both in-person and online classes, Flamingo Chicks creates a joyful, supportive environment where every child can express themselves and build confidence.
For children with disabilities, opportunities to engage in physical activity and creative movement are often limited, with accessibility and inclusivity posing significant barriers. While in-person classes can offer a supportive environment, they are restricted by location, class size, and availability, limiting the charity’s ability to reach and positively impact a larger number of children.
To extend their reach and make movement-based classes accessible to children everywhere, we developed a series of online classes for the charity, using green screen technology and vibrant animations to create an immersive, story-driven experience for each session. Each class is themed and uses Makaton signing, enhancing accessibility and allowing children to participate fully, regardless of communication needs. By placing instructors within dynamic animated worlds, we bring each story to life, making the classes more visually engaging and interactive for children.
